GarageBand Songwriting & Music Video (ages 5-12)
In this class, we’ll come together each season to create an original music video from start to finish! Using Garage Band and video production tools, students will learn how to compose, record, and produce a one-of-a-kind song while capturing it on video. Each class starts with a brainstorming session to spark ideas for our original song, diving into lyrics, melody, and mood as we build the foundation together. Once the song is crafted, students will record it in Garageband, learning how to layer instruments, vocals, and effects. With our song complete, the focus will shift to the video side, where students will explore video techniques to bring their music to life visually. No prior experience is needed—just creativity and a willingness to sing, act, or learn behind-the-scenes skills. By the end of the season, students will have produced a quality music video that showcases their teamwork, creativity, and new technical skills!
