Storytelling comes to life in the world of Dungeons & Dragons! Embark on an epic adventure to explore new worlds, meet new characters, and develop skills your student never knew they were capable of all through the lens of their own creativity and imagination.

EXPLORING YOUR CALLING (Ages 9-12)
(Personalities, Character, Discipline, Friendship, Leadership, & Entrepreneurship)
Build out your preteen’s practical “tool belt” with heart skills and life skills that they don’t teach in school! We will use questions and small missions each week to learn who we are, how we relate to others, what others around us need, and how to bring more success to the world through joy and excellence everyday. We will explore several personality profiling systems, leadership styles, and the concept of the “hero’s journey” in everyday life. We will map our days and upcoming goals to increase our value of time and perception of time. By the end of this spring season, participants will even have some tools on how to launch their own purposeful small business venture this summer, if they desire! This course is taught by Encore’s founder-director, a multi-faceted entrepreneur and leader, with a mom’s heart remembering what it was like to be her tween’s age. :) This interactive class promotes positive friendships as well as individuality, and will include writing and speaking assignments within class.

*NEW* CREATIVE PENMENSHIP & CALLIGRAPHY (Ages 8-12)
Handwriting represents thoughts and feelings, frozen in time. Improve your handwriting to improve your focus and creativity as we explore all that's possible with letter and number shapes. No one has bad handwriting, it's just an opportunity to slow down and think about what we want to say in the motions behind the words themselves. We will use different types of pens and pencils, markers and brushes, in order to discover what's all possible within a single stroke. We will learn about high zones, mid zones, and low zones, points and curves, and practice how to even things out or switch things up for different desired outcomes. We will also touch on creating one's own unique signature and how to communicate who you are through your hand.

CREATIVE ENTREPRENEURSHIP (Ages 9-12)
Plan and build a micro business over summer with collaborative prompts and coaching from Encore’s founder-owner-director! Learn to identify your genius zones and evaluate community demand in order to make a path of success for yourself and those around you.

FOODIES AROUND THE WORLD (Ages 8-18)
Embark on a culinary adventure around the globe! Designed for families, this hands-on cooking class explores international cultures through their traditional foods. Each week, students will prepare simple dishes from a different country, learning basic cooking techniques, kitchen safety, and the stories behind the snacks and meals. Along the way, they’ll expand their taste buds, practice teamwork, and gain an appreciation for global traditions. All ingredients and materials are provided. No prior cooking experience needed—just a love for food and discovery!
