This class gives a great foundation in what it’s like to be a part of a play or a musical theatre production. Not only are there director notes, a script to memorize, maybe some improv, where to stand, the traffic of an ensemble cast of people and space to deal with- what happens when the tech isn’t right or the props aren’t there? Preparing students for the real deal is fun by giving them scenarios and actual practice to be ready for prime time live shows!
*NEW!* Fridays, 6:00-7:00pm, Instr. Blackbird Pierre (ages 8-12) 12 weeks beginning the week of March 9 through the end of May
Classical Theatre Techniques:
From Meisner to Stanislovski, from Greek Tragedies, Shakespeare, Commedia dell'Arte and more, this class is an exciting, interactive jump into classical theatre foundations from around the globe. Students will have the opportunity to explore and practice a variety of classical theatre techniques and styles as they stretch their knowledge of what theatre has been to what it COULD be!
Wednesdays, 2:00-3:30pm, Instr. Dani Santisteven (ages 13-18)
Stage Acting:
This is an 18 and older acting class for all levels! Whether you're brand new to the stage or a seasoned performer, this will be an opportunity to practice and grow your theatrical skills, exercises, and performance in a supportive and engaging environment.
