Aria Clawson Art, Scholastics, Music Originally from upstate New York, Aria has been delighted to discover and become part of the vibrant artistic communities here in the Treasure Valley. She brings a thoughtful, encouraging approach to teaching, helping students build strong foundational skills while growing in confidence and developing their own creative voice. Aria teaches watercolor, illustration, and mixed media with an emphasis on technique, exploration, and personal expression. Her love of the arts extends well beyond painting and drawing. From ceramics (both wheel throwing and hand building) to paper crafts such as origami, collage, and quilling, as well as fiber arts and music, including piano, ukulele, and voice. She enjoys drawing connections between artistic disciplines and helping students see how creativity weaves through many forms. With several art teachers in her family, Aria grew up supporting classes in photography, calligraphy, cake decorating, paper and card making, quilting, and more, developing both her artistic range and her love of teaching. She enjoys working with students of all ages and levels, creating a welcoming classroom environment where creativity and growth go hand in hand. Having an additional background in physics, Aria is especially passionate about curriculum development and the scholastic side of arts education. She loves designing engaging lessons that balance structure with freedom, equipping students with skills they can carry with them long after class ends. See others on staff here.
