EAGLE Dyah Ariningtas "Arin" Hening Arin is a passionate advocate for arts, music, and cultural heritage. Her musical journey began at the age of five with piano lessons, and over the years she has embraced a wide range of instruments including guitar, ukulele, violin, drum, and clarinet—driven by her love of learning and trying something new. With a deep appreciation for Indonesian traditional music and dance, Arin actively performs and leads cultural showcases that blend modern creativity with rich traditions. She currently leads an Indonesian traditional Angklung and Gambang music group, as well as traditional dance performances, through the Indo Idaho Community. Curious and adventurous by nature, Arin loves exploring new experiences—whether through music, food, or language. She has a strong interest in learning languages and has studied German, Japanese, Mandarin, and some Spanish, deepening her connection with people and cultures around the world. She has also led Batik workshops in both the Treasure Valley and Ohio during her time as a graduate student, sharing the beauty of Indonesian craftsmanship with diverse communities. As a global citizen, Arin believes in the power of art and culture to build bridges across people and places. When she is not pursuing her passion in the arts, she is an engineer at heart who enjoys solving problems and creating meaningful solutions. In the Treasure Valley, she is actively involved with various communities and nonprofit organizations, including Indo Idaho, Global Lounge, and Tanta Inc—where she contributes her time and talents to celebrating and uplifting diverse voices in Boise.
