Teaching with Encore starting August 2024
EAGLE, S MERIDIAN BECCA CHAVARRIA (Cello, Violin, Viola, Bass) Becca Chavarria has played cello for 22 years. She was born and raised in Caldwell High School, and played in Caldwell's orchestras under the direction of Gini Rosandick. She was accepted into All-State two of her years in high school, placed 7th in the State Solo competition her senior year, and began instructing private students right after she graduated. She studied under the cellist Arturo Chavez for three years before attending the College of Idaho, where she worked with Samuel Smith, and received string education from the Langroise Trio, and earned String Player of the Year her senior year. She graduated from the College of Idaho with a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education with a String emphasis, and minored in Education, Human Biology, and Child-Adolescent Psychology. She currently teaches at Caldwell High School, and has been their orchestra director for nine years. In her spare time, Becca enjoys performing with the Canyon County Symphony, painting, reading, and goofing around with her 16 year-old son. Check the availability for another instructor here.
