BROADWAY AT ENCORE AUDITION INFO
Next auditions: May 18-19, 2025
Broadway at Encore is our premiere, advanced musical theatre class for kids, teens, and adults.
With a highly experienced team of professional performance educators, we craft powerful, heartfelt productions where every voice matters.
We take the knowledge and practice of live acting seriously. We believe you should sing in tune and we will train you how to resonate from your core through the entire auditorium. There is a deep connection to what unison and harmony mean, and we believe in the importance of doing it right. We have taught "tone deaf" people to sing (and love it) and have taught "all-left-footed" dancers to move -- with joy. Our hearts are to accept, and nurture, and empower. Please also see our policies and understand that in this faster-paced environment we are not always equipped to meet all needs. This is a setting to learn advancing acting and vocal skills, and if it's not the right fit, we have hundreds of other lesson and class options that may be a better fit at Encore.
Through rehearsals and workshops, Broadway at Encore deep dives into the art of performance: holistic vocal technique -- commanding stage presence -- character building -- wellness through dance -- interpersonal connections -- diction and dialects -- humor -- stage combat -- memorization and brainpower -- just to name a few.

Training & Tuition
There is no cost to audition this year, but a non-refundable $35 tuition deposit per show will be due upon acceptance of offered parts.
Ensemble members as well as leads will be heavily involved each meeting.
Training sessions throughout each show's preparation will be split by age groups and experience levels, as well as by scene groups.
Advancing acting students will have the opportunity to act alongside experienced actors of all ages and alongside various Encore music and theatre instructors.
Actors will learn a TON with over 80 hours of instruction and rehearsing.
Considering Encore's usual group class rate of $90 per 4 hours of instruction, the entire package presents a high value, but tuition is offered at only $495 per entire show. If you are new to Encore, the one-time, lifetime registration fee of $55 per person or $95 per family will also apply.
Trade opportunities are available to help toward the package cost (ask for info!). We also have some scholarships available.
Tickets for audience members are $22 per seat -- free for lap children and current Encore students.
We look forward to having you join us onstage!
We desire to empower every member of our cast and find ways for everyone to learn and to shine.

WHAT WE ARE AND WHAT WE AREN'T...
We are not a "show biz" environment. We put on great shows and highlight the skills of our casts and crew, but PEOPLE come first. We are here to help meet the hearts and needs of those we work with as best as we can with listening ears and attention to the high-speed demands of theatre life.
We believe in servant leadership and do not cater to the "prima donna" attitude.
We are a business and rely on tuition and tickets to put on the shows and pay our instructors living wages. We are investing in the growth of our outreach, resources, and equipment without the help of private or governmental grants. We also envision our own theatre space as soon as we can build to that point.
Our leaders direct by example because we are actors and musicians ourselves. We trade off joining in the show ourselves and when that takes place, we audition in the same process as students do, and we leave the casting decisions of our own selves and our family members to others in Broadway at Encore leadership.
We celebrate diversity and cast based off of ability and good fits for each character.
