ENCORE'S CHORAL PROGRAM - new for Fall 2024

Ages 16-ADULTS led by Danika Starrharrt
In 2025 we plan to expand and include a "varsity" branch as well which will have opportunities to perform along Starrharrt Symphonic in the community.

Please join us! Come empower your voice, make friends, and have some beautiful fun! Singers will practice professional pop and classical vocal techniques and learn as many enjoyable songs as can be packed into each season. We are not a traditional choir, but more of vocal ensembles where your unique voice is encouraged to shine. Solo opportunities are available within the group setting as well. Practices are known among our students to be dynamic and energizing. Instructors of our Fall choral programs have reliably been with Encore since our first year (or before!) and are joyfully prepared to meet the needs of individuals and group settings. All three of our fall choral instructors have received years of vocal training in bel canto, pop, liturgical, and choral pedagogies as well as taught privately and led other ensembles. We teach a mix of timeless and contemporary vocal techniques and do encourage practice of chest voice for some passages.
Strengthening your voice promotes confidence and physical well-being.
Strengthening your voice with a group builds an acute listening ear and forms relationships in a meaningful musical community.
Bring the whole family!
All age groups rehearse simultaneously in different rooms onsite.
Ages 4-7 will use one-line accompanied melodies and rounds.
Ages 8-15 will use 2-3 part harmonies.
Ages 16-adults will use 3-4+ part harmonies and occasional a capella.
At Encore, we encourage individuality, finding your strengths, and creativity.
All age groups practice ear training, diction, vowel quality, support, placement, blending and soloing, and performance
We encourage you to bring a voice recorder to "bring home" our warmups, technique teachings, and even part rehearsals as you have need.
Our song selection is of an inspirational and fully clean nature, without religious content.
Style genre will range quite a bit, from musical theatre to classical, to folk, to original.
If you play an instrument well, please ask about accompanying!
TUITION: $192* for the 12-week Fall 2024 Season.
PRIVATE STUDENT DISCOUNT: $148 total for the season if you're enrolled in ongoing private lessons at Encore for at least Sept-Dec.
Our lifetime center registration fee also applies if you're brand new to Encore.
*If you can make the schedule work, we will help make the finances work for those who need financial support to take this class.
We now have easy TRADE opportunities for any parent or adult student, to partially or fully cover tuition.
