Eagle Emily Sigler Fine Arts Emily Sigler’s artistic journey goes back as far as she can remember. She always had a love of the creative process, which was embraced by her parents, as she recalls always being enrolled in art classes, even as a young child in the company of adults. In her later years of high school she spent half of each day in a technical arts program exploring art and graphic design in the emergence of the digital era. Emily completed her Bachelor’s degree in Art and shortly after discovered that teaching art was the next best thing to being the artist. She has spent over 20 years teaching drawing, painting and mixed media to students in the private school sector, starting in a K-8 school and several years after at the high school level while also serving as the Visual and Performing Arts Department Chair. A lot of the joy of teaching comes from living vicariously through each student’s project, from ideation to execution. She is a California native who relocated to Eagle in 2022 with her husband and two young kids and loves exploring everything that the Treasure Valley has to offer. |
