EAGLE, S MERIDIAN MELISSA VANDERLAAN (Culinary Arts) Melissa Vanderlaan has been a lifetime hobby baker and home cook, learning from her grandmother and aunt at an early age. Over the years, she has experimented with food and techniques as well as budgeting, and has led cooking and cookie decorating workshops and classes from her home. Melissa has a passion for getting others excited about making beautiful things in the kitchen. She believes food is art, whether it's desserts or cooking a nutritious, flavorful meal.
