EAGLE, S MERIDIAN MICHELLE LUCAS (Clay, Fine Art, Guitar, Writing) Michelle Lucas is a true creative; author, artist, potter, photographer, singer-songwriter, speaker, sculptor, crafter and more. She loves using her gifts and talents to encourage and uplift others to pursue their dreams and never give up. She pursued a career in graphic design for many years and now dedicates her time to teaching and encouraging others. She was inspired as a young child in art and music, writing her first song at the age of eleven. Since then, Michelle has written over 150 songs and counting with an EP on iTunes and more in the works. As an author and writer, Michelle is currently working on several book projects, including a series of faith-based Children’s books, Adventures with Molly. The first in the series, Great Big Hug! Is available on Amazon. She also leads the Boise Community for Kingdom Writers Association, a growing national writers community with monthly gatherings. Photography began with her first Canon camera at the age of 18. Since then she has photographed everything from newborns to weddings and everything in between. She likes to say photography is a super power… freezing moments in time. She began her pottery passion in 2022, incorporating her other artistic talents of sculpture and watercolor into her pieces; with acknowledgments for her work winning blue ribbons and special honor awards at local fairs and events. Married to her husband Michael and loving life, together they have three children and six grandchildren. Her youngest daughter, Sharon Lucas is also an Encore instructor! They also serve together on the worship team of their local church. If all that wasn’t enough, she’s also a certified birth doula (labor coach) supporting families all over the treasure valley. “Creativity is all around us. Stories are waiting to be told, uplifting thoughts are waiting to be said, art is waiting to be expressed. What an honor it is to be a creative and partner with God to create beautiful things and even more so to teach and inspire others to discover all the wonderful creativity inside of them!
