With Encore since December 2025
Patrick McAleer Voice, Theatre Patrick McAleer grew up in Colorado, where his love of performing began with a toy microphone, a living-room “stage,” and passionate renditions of Whitney Houston “I Wanna Dance with Somebody.”. His musical roots deepened when he joined the Colorado Children’s Chorale under the direction of Duain Wolfe, an experience that helped shape his passion and confidence. Patrick holds a Master of Music in Music Theatre from Oklahoma City University, home to alumni like Kristin Chenoweth and Kelli O’Hara, and a Bachelor of Music in Classical Voice from the University of Colorado Boulder. His performance credits include Central City Opera, Opera Colorado, the Aurora Fox, Performance Now, and Curtains Up!, with roles such as Jean Valjean in Les Misérables. He moved to Boise in June 2024 and is enjoying watching the city grow on him. At Encore Creative Center, Patrick teaches Beginning Theatre, Vocal Ensemble, Beginning Musical Theatre, and private voice lessons. His teaching blends strong technique, warmth, humor, and a student-centered approach that encourages creativity and confidence. A proud introvert, Patrick loves calm, intentional spaces, and if he weren’t singing, he’d happily be a professional organizer, curating rooms where everything has a purpose and positive energy can breathe. When he isn’t teaching, you’ll find him indoors, savoring a perfectly clean, climate-controlled environment. Patrick is currently pursuing his Master of Teaching in Elementary Education at Boise State University and will graduate in spring 2027. See other instructors here.
