Rita grew up in Hungary where she began to play the cello at the age of 7. After 7 yrs of music school experience, she was accepted to the Bela Bartok Music Conservatory. During her studies, she regularly performed with the local Music Theater as well. After graduating in 1991, she auditioned and was accepted to the University of Music and Dramatic Arts in Graz, Austria. She spent 5 years studying under Prof. Floria Kitt and had the opportunity to perform with several local symphony orchestras as well as chamber groups. In 1996 Rita started performing with "Seefestschpiele Morbish", a well-known pit orchestra in Austria, and performed operettas and operas during their summer series of "Operas on the Lake".

After earning her Masters degree in music performance and teaching in 1996, Rita moved to the United States, right to Boise, Idaho and has been living here in the Treasure Valley ever since. In 2008 Rita earned her second Masters degree in elementary general education. She has been maintaining an active cello studio for the past 30 years and at the same time teaching general music, orchestra and choir classes in our local public, charter and private schools. Currently, she is teaching ESL classes at an elementary school and loving it! Rita also enjoys performing with the pit orchestra for all Encore Broadway musicals and with Starrharrt Symphonic!
