Eagle, S Meridian Sierra Smith Ceramics, Children's Arts, Spanish Sierra Smith was born and raised in Minnesota, where she learned to read in Spanish before English and eagerly took every art class available to her. She deepened her love for Spanish through language and culture classes in college and recently lived in a Spanish-speaking country for a month, where she practiced the language and built meaningful connections. Her passion for art continued as she took countless ceramics classes at the University of Minnesota and the University of Missouri. During her college years, Sierra also joined the prayer shawl ministry, where she learned to knit and crochet shawls as gifts of comfort and care for people in the community. She loves bringing beauty and restoration into any situation, and art is one outlet where that is possible. Her love for creativity and connecting with others drives her passion to teach in meaningful ways, making sure everyone is seen, valued, and inspired. Sierra creates space for creativity, expression, and learning through mistakes are encouraged- so that anyone can feel welcome to explore something new. See other instructors here.
