Zach Power Fine Arts Zachariah has been creating and studying art for over two decades now. As a child, he explored every medium in art, most notably oil painting. Many Saturday mornings were spent watching Bob Ross painting videos. This was one of the catalysts that propelled him into the world of art. Throughout middle school and high school he took classes in painting, drawing, sculpting, and art history. In college, he studied to receive a bachelor’s degree in fine art. This time was also spent being a teacher’s assistant. In this position he helped teach and tutor students in the fundamental principles of drawing and art history. He also received many academic awards and scholarships. The most notable achievement was showing his art in the university's Spori art gallery. There, it received an award of excellence and recognition from the school itself. After receiving his bachelor’s degree in art, he went on to study and develop a series of paintings for galleries. In 2023, a series of figurative and portrait oil paintings were shown at the Idaho Art gallery, in Meridian Idaho. This achievement propelled him to further study oil painting techniques and principles from the old masters of art. This led to a job in the picture framing industry. There he studied how to restore paintings and prints, frame art, stretch canvas, and the basics of owning and marketing a business. His desire for further education led him to study the books of old master artists such as Rembrandt and Van Gogh. There he learned proper painting techniques such as glazing and how to make oil paint. He also took several classes from the Academy of Art University in San fransisco, CA. There he studied master’s degree courses in still life painting, drawing, figurative art, and art theory. Currently Zach is an artist and teaching, focusing on art commissions and teaching.
