WRITING
Creative Writing
(Instr: Megan Owen, Debbie Crutchfield, Katie Backer) Writers will learn to tell stories through poetry and prose, short stories and graphic novels. They will take the worlds their imaginations have built and the characters they have created and tell their story. Working through the writing process of outlines, drafts, editing, and revising, aspiring authors will be taught the tools they need to develop their skills as a writer and bring their story to readers. |
Storytelling & Journalism
(Instr: Megan Owen, Katie Backer) Writers will learn the skills to report on the events transpiring in their lives and around them throughout the season at Encore. Writing articles, conducting interviews, and getting first hand accounts of events to contribute to publications. |
