Encore Creative Center exists in order to bring quality creative education in many fields all under one roof (or two roofs now!). Encore first opened its doors in 2021, founded by Danika Starrharrt, a successful musician and educator who had already been recording, performing and teaching music full time for almost two decades. Having outgrown her personal home studio (True Song Studio) in Meridian at 220 students strong, it was time to serve thousands more and impact the whole Treasure Valley. So in that summer of 2021, Danika went to work gathering local artists, performers, and musicians to become fellow instructors at Encore's first Eagle location. It was important that each instructor be masters of their work and also masters of communicating their joy to others. Guided by Danika's attention to high quality, today the Encore team consists of more than 40 professional, positive instructors who, respectively, teach nearly all musical instruments, visual arts mediums, and performing arts.
In early 2022, our satellite location in South Meridian opened. We still serve students remotely around the south valley area, while as of 2026 our in-center programs have been able to reunite stronger than ever truly under one roof in a new expansion of our Eagle center.
In spring of 2024 Danika and crew built our own recording studio (www.encorerecording.studio). In November of 2024, after packaging our best curriculums and proven operations we became legal for franchising and expanding the excellence of Encore around the country. In the Boise area, we are grateful to be among the area's most respected go-to for music, art, and theatre education. And we're proud to be continually growing as having the most options for quality multi-disciplinary arts classes under one roof as can be found anywhere in the state.
Our vision is to keep expanding and ultra-fine tuning our programs, listening to every student we work with and providing all the steps to make their creative dreams come true and scale up beyond their expectations. In time we aspire ourselves to grow beyond our current local facilities and also open a large theater space, an art gallery, and retreat accommodations.
We believe creating is not just a luxury. It's a necessity. It brings every part of us into harmony inside and calms some of the chaos in the world around us.
