Guest Artist Tony Segale has been practicing brush lettering, calligraphy and watercolor painting for over 40 years. On May 18th-19th, he is teaching an exclusive workshop at the Encore Eagle Campus!
● Learn how to create three hand lettering styles using a flat watercolor brush
● Discover new freedom of expression with abstract mark-making techniques
● Engage in two daily sessions, with a clear path to utilizing brush skills to create finished works of art featuring new techniques
● Balance theory and practice, so you can test new techniques right away and ask for guidance in real time
● With a maximum in-person group of 12, get all your questions answered together with an exclusive community of fellow art-loving students
● 1 on 1 critiques: Each day you can work with Tony individually, and he will critique your progress with custom informative guidance
A new 1⁄2” Flat Lettering/ Watercolor Brush is included for each student to keep. Please bring your own watercolor supplies, or order a Watercolor Supply Kit by May 1st. We also recommend bringing one 22" x 30" Arches Cold Press 140lb paper.
The most important tool you will need is a relaxed and fun attitude! We will have a swinging good time. Finished letters or paintings are less important than the process, and the encounter with other artists of the same interest.
Recommended for adults and serious teens.

About Tony Segale: Tony is a self-taught artist from Lodi, California, who discovered his passion for art at an early age. From doodling to hand-lettering, Tony's life has always revolved around his artistic impulses. Despite the demands of his commercial art, he always finds his way back to his easel. Tony's technique has evolved through dedication and practice of over 40 years, resulting in unparalleled and award-winning creations. His art is a representation of how he perceives the world and a means for expressing “the way he sees it”. Tony aspires to continue leaving his mark, capturing the indescribable and infusing life with color through his brushstrokes.
