EAGLE CODY HAZELLE (Piano, Guitar, Bass, Songwriting, Composition and Production) Cody lived in Phoenix most of his life and moved out to Boise in the summer of 2023. He picked up the bass guitar at age 12 after being exposed to all sorts of rock n roll. Since then he has learned guitar, piano, and vocals, as well as taken an interest in songwriting, composition and music production. At age 19, he began writing and performing songs for his neo-psychedelic band The Blank Waves, putting out multiple singles, two EP's and one record all deeply influenced by the interesting, colorful music of yesterday and today. He then went on to work with an electronic pop band called Electric Sol where his focus was performing drum machines, samplers and synthesizers, as well as adequately mixing the sound. Cody teaches with the idea that a musician should be well-rounded and not just work on proper technique, reading and solid repertoire, but also have a critical ear and a strong understanding of music theory, form, improvisation and historical context. Though his favorite style of music tends to be psychedelic pop/rock from the 60s/70s and today, his focus and passion as of late has been entirely on studying and teaching classical piano.
