JOCELYN SINGLETON (Visual Arts and Design) Jocelyn has spent her entire life chasing any creative medium she could get her hands on. While she enjoys the end result of her projects, it is the process of creation and problem-solving that drives her. Drawing, painting, floral design, and ceramics are some of her favorite outlets, but graphic design is her passion. Her first lessons in graphic design were from her father who worked at an elite design firm in Boise. She sacrificed every summer through high school to make room for a daily 2-hour graphic design course. After high school, Jocelyn went on to study Graphic Design at Brigham Young University—Idaho. Her natural talent landed her a design position within the University Communications Department as a Freshman. After a year in the communications department, Jocelyn accepted an even more competitive position as the sole graphic designer for the school’s Spori Art Gallery. After leaving BYU-I, Jocelyn worked in web design and started building a freelance business. She has managed a team of designers and continues to work in branding and corporate identity. Jocelyn brings almost 20 years of experience in the graphic design world. Lately her focus has been on homeschooling her children and teaching art & design to young artists. |
