MIKE HARRIS (Clarinet, Saxophone, Band) Mike has taught band, choir, and general music in schools in Illinois and Idaho for more than a decade. He earned his bachelor's degree from Bradley University and his masters degree from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. While living in Illinois, he performed on clarinet with the Peoria Municipal Band and Prairie Wind Ensemble and on saxophone with the Central Illinois Jazz Orchestra. While teaching at Idaho Arts Charter School many of Mike's students were selected for All-State ensembles and regional honor bands. The band program performed at various venues around the Treasure Valley and received high marks at contests. Since moving to Idaho, Mike's creative energy has shifted to songwriting and performing with indie rock bands. He's performed at the Treefort Music Fest, Flipside Music Fest, and in the Morrison Center Summer Concert Series as well as many venues in downtown Boise. He currently performs with the Canyon County Symphony, Idaho Jazz Collective, Optiflynn, and Jesse Blake Rundle.
