HOW DOES IT WORK?
🔸You select the teacher(s) and subject(s) for your once-per-week in-home sessions.
🔸There is a minimum of 2 hours per teacher per visit. You can split this time between multiple family members or friends any way you'd like. If schedules allow, you could create your own multi-instructor/multi-subject program in your home. Or simply have multiple private lessons for your family members and/or friends.
🔸Teachers can teach 1:1 private lessons or group classes. For groups, you are responsible for bringing your own group of students and collecting percentage payments. We will only collect the monthly flat fees from the host home.
🔸Flat fees: $80/hour for 1-3 students, $100/hour for 4-7 students, $120/hour for 8-12 students. You can have each hour serve a different number of students.
(The cost is a bit higher than our in-center private lessons to help account for instructors' travel. But depending on how you fill your group classes, it can even be a savings for each student learning with a group!)
🔸Music and performing arts in-home lessons and classes are invited to all our in-center open mics, events, and parties, and eligible to apply for our formal showcases.
When you sign up for Encore in your home, you are tapping into the rich pool of diverse skills that make up the Encore instructor community that our Eagle and Meridian centers are known for. And you will still become part of our "family" of Encore families that call our center their home away from home.

QUALIFYING HOMES
Ensuring a high quality experience for students and instructors is important for all aspects of Encore's operations, including Encore lessons and classes in homes. In line with this, please understand:
🔸Adult resident(s) in host home are required to pass a background check. When signing up, there will be a $40 fee per adult in home for the background check fee.
🔸When signing up, potential hosts must submit a photo of the room(s) that the instructor(s) will teach in. Room(s) must be clean and tidy.
🔸We ask that pets be put away during instructors’ visits.
🔸Host homes will provide tables, chairs, musical instruments, and/or music stands as needed according to areas of study. All other supplies will be provided through Encore.
🔸Your first session will be held at Encore Creative Center. Regular in-home fees apply for this single session. From there, the instructor and host family will confirm that they are the right fit before committing to ongoing Encore-In-Homes sessions starting the following week.
